MANAGEMENT

PCI is led by a team of experienced leaders and managers, all with experience in key areas of PCI operations.

Robert Degnan - President and CEO

Mr. Degnan has over 30 years' experience in a variety of executive positions in consumer goods sales and marketing with Fortune 100 Firms including Carnation Company and Smucker's. He has been lead consultant in several successful restructuring and turnaround engagements for privately held mid-market companies, as well as President / COO of a Northwest Wood Products company. He was a Navy aviator and is a Viet Nam Veteran, and is actively involved in local community and church activities. He graduated with honors from Principia College and earned his Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University.

John Stupfel - Director of Operations

Mr. Stupfel has focused on manufacturing operations for over 30 years and has a track record of building and executing successful business operation strategies. Prior to joining Package Containers, Inc., he was a partner in Bridgespan Partners, LLC, a Portland, OR based consulting firm devoted to turnaround and restructuring of small to medium sized, closely held businesses. Mr. Stupfel was also co-founder of Aquatic & Site Technologies, Inc. and built the organization from concept stage to $3MM in sales in the first three years of operation by designing new products and identifying and successfully exploiting new markets utilizing a variety of sales channels. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Portland State University.

Larry Corbridge - Controller and Director of Administrative Services

Mr. Corbridge has over 35 years of financial experience in manufacturing companies producing consumer and durable goods. He has worked for both public and privately held companies. He has successfully implemented policies and procedures to improve efficiencies in the production, finance and administrative departments. He has experience working with banks, insurance brokers and CPAs to secure lines of credit, insurance policies and audited financial reports. Larry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.

The PCI senior management team is augmented by a cadre of front-line managers and dedicated support staff who are experienced in the packaging industry and are intricately familiar with the operations of the company. They are dedicated to meeting PCI customer needs, providing customers with consistently excellent product quality and outstanding customer service.

SERVICES & CAPABILITIES

Paper Home Toter ® Bags

PCI offers our unique Home Toter ® paper bags in standard and custom designs and sizes, produced with and without the single-strap handle in a variety of different paper and printing / ink and color combinations as follows:

Bags can be plain or custom printed with up to 4-color process printing on a variety of papers including 50 - 70 pound basis weight, recycled content, recyclable paper, white or natural kraft, wet strength, MG, MF and others. Additional custom bag sizes are available, and all bags have optional narrow or wide single-strap handles.

Wire-Ties

We operate 17 twist and skirt-tie machines capable of making ties ranging from ¼" x 3" to ½" x 24" Insta-Ties® as well as Adver-Ties® and Identi-Ties. We also produce custom Skirt-Ties® in 7", 9", 14" and 19" sizes to meet your individual harvesting, packaging, promotional and labeling needs in a wide spectrum of colors and sizes.

Flexographic Printing

At PCI, we provide the highest quality paper printing in up to 4-colors with two overhead presses, each capable of printing 150,000 feet (57 miles total) of paper per day. We use ink concentration control technology ensuring consistent product quality and plate design software providing exact repeatability of jobs.

Paper Slitting

Our paper slitters and rewinders process the printed material creating the slits for the wire-tie machines and handle strap for the bag machines. Each high-speed slitter/rewinder can cut 15 rolls of printed paper per day, and include custom designed slitter holders to allow for quick-change capability.

Graphic Design & Product Engineering Services

Our trained staff and graphic artists provide our customers with layout ideas for new designs, assistance with customer provided artwork, color mock-ups for customer review, and promotional ideas and packaging concepts. They are trained with state of the art computer-assisted design equipment and are capable of assisting customers with the research and development of new packaging ideas and products.

Plastic & Poly Bags

Using our industry knowledge and our in-depth understanding of our customers' packaging needs, we offer a wide range of poly bag products for the grocery, retail and foodservice markets. These plastic packaging products are made to the same superior quality and performance standards as our manufactured products and are known for their durability and excellent performance results.
